Article and podcast competition "Bolivian young voices in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic"

The project "Bolivian young voices in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic" aims to encourage young people to generate public debate based on evidence and data. To do this, a competition of articles and podcasts will be held where it is sought that young people send their proposals, reflections and solutions on the socioeconomic impacts of the health crisis caused by COVID-19 in Bolivia.

Some of the issues that can be addressed by the participants are the effects of the pandemic on poverty, inequality, income distribution, work, unemployment, care work, effects on female employment.

Competition participants must be between 18 and 28 years old, have a Bolivian residence, meet all the requirements of the competition, and not be part of the current ARU Foundation team or the competition jury team. They must submit their proposal in the format specified in the aforementioned categories. The text and audio must be unpublished and original. It can be an individual or pair work.

Participants must send their proposal until January 17th, 2021, as the deadline, at 11:59 p.m. After this period, no additional proposal for the competition will be accepted. All documentation in digital format will be sent to the following email: fundacion@aru.org.bo with “Competence - Bolivian youth voices in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic” as the subject.

The following selection criteria will guide the jury's decisions:

An amount of money will be awarded to three works selected as winners for each category. The amount for each job will be Bs 1,500. In the first week of February, the winners will be contacted and the awards will take place.
