We present you the virtual course: "STATA basic level with applications of Household Surveys"

In recent years, in the academic as well as the business sector, the need for human talent capable of processing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative information for decision-making, impact evaluations, research or in the optimization of processes has become increasingly relevant. . In this area, STATA emerges as an easy-to-use and very powerful tool for database management and statistical analysis.

STATA is a software capable of handling these large amounts of information, using less computing resources than traditional spreadsheets and also presenting accurate and reliable results. It also has a series of commands, designed to apply complex formulas at once, which show us a complete analysis of certain variables without having to write too much.

In this course, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to STATA and its various uses in modern data analysis. It will cover the different options to handle, explore, visualize and model complex types of data. At the end of the course, you will have the ability to interact with STATA and handle complex data analysis. The focus of each session will be consistently emphasizing the practical application, and interpretation, of commonly used statistical techniques without resorting to deep statistical equations or theories.

The main objective of this course is for the student to develop skills in the management of STATA software, both for the work of managing and analyzing databases, as well as in statistical and econometric applications, leading them later to have the ability to reproduce more complex applications and thereby carry out applied research.

• No knowledge of STATA is required.
• A minimal knowledge of statistics is preferable but not necessary.
• Computer with Windows, MAC or Linux operating system.
• Have STATA 12 or newer version installed.

Professionals, graduate students or university students, in matters of statistics or econometrics, or students in economics who want to acquire the basic methodological knowledge necessary for the correct use of STATA from an operational approach, as well as an approach applied to social science research .
